Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about compatibility, installation, battery life, hotel use, and how Klisens turns off compatible split AC units when a room is empty.

Is Klisens a motion sensor?

Klisens uses sensitive presence-sensing technology. It detects infrared signals emitted from the human body and uses that information to decide when the room has been left empty.

How does it communicate with the air conditioner?

Klisens learns the OFF command from your air conditioner remote. It then works like a remote control and sends an infrared OFF signal to the AC. It does not need WiFi, Bluetooth, RF, internet, a hub, or an additional receiver.

Will it turn the AC off while someone is sleeping?

When installed correctly, Klisens can detect people while they sleep. For bedrooms, use a longer timer setting such as 60 or 90 minutes. For offices, 15 or 30 minutes may be suitable.

Why use Klisens if a hotel room already has a key-card energy saver?

Guests often leave key cards inserted so the AC keeps running while they are away. Klisens focuses specifically on the air conditioner and turns it off after the room has been empty for the selected time.

Why use Klisens if there is a balcony door switch?

A balcony switch reacts only when the balcony door is opened. Klisens reacts when people leave the room, so it can prevent AC waste even when the balcony door is closed.

Does Klisens work with inverter air conditioners?

Yes, if the unit uses a compatible infrared remote. Inverter AC units still waste energy when users set very low temperatures and leave the room. Klisens helps stop cooling an empty room.

Which air conditioners does it work with?

Klisens is compatible with most split air conditioners and VRV/VRF systems that use a wireless infrared remote. It is not suitable for systems without a remote, or systems controlled only by a fixed wired wall controller.

What is the detection distance?

In standard rooms with 2.6 to 3.0 meter ceilings, Klisens detects within about a 5 meter radius. It is designed for rooms and offices, and is not recommended for areas larger than about 40 square meters.

What timer settings are available?

Klisens supports 15, 30, 60, and 90 minute settings. Offices often use 15 or 30 minutes. Bedrooms should generally use 60 or 90 minutes.

Where should Klisens be installed?

Install Klisens on the ceiling, near the center of the room or above the bed area, with the transmitter directed toward the air conditioner. Correct placement helps it detect people and send the OFF signal reliably.

Does installation require a technician?

No. Installation is simple and usually takes only a few minutes. The device can be mounted with screws and anchors, or with a suitable adhesive method depending on the surface.

Can Klisens damage the air conditioner or void its warranty?

Klisens works like a remote control. It does not cut power to the air conditioner, so it does not stress the unit like hard power-cut systems can.

How much can it save?

Savings depend on how much the AC currently runs while the room is empty. In high-waste rooms, the device can pay for itself quickly. Actual results vary by AC size, electricity rate, usage, and room behavior.

How long do the batteries last?

Klisens uses two standard AAA batteries. Batteries are not included. Battery life is typically at least 2 years, depending on use and placement.

What is the warranty period?

The warranty period is 2 years.

Where is Klisens produced?

Klisens is produced in Türkiye.
